Come Visit The Athabasca Tar Sands

A false tourism campaign for family-fun travel packages to the open-pit mines of Northern Alberta, projects that cover a land area larger than England and can be seen from space. At the time of this project, the whole proposition was offered in the spirit of a Swiftian critique, along the lines of “A Modest Proposal,” it was only a few years later that I was to happen upon the actual tourism trade operating out of the “Oil Discovery Centre” and the so-called reclamation sites located in and around Fort McMurray.
